Contouring Brush - Love It!

The photo above is the gift from my sister in-law. I am so happy that my she gave me this brush as a gift because it's way too expensive for me to buy myself. Ha ha! This is my first MAC brush and this is a great blush brush. I love it! I use it for my blush but will use it when I practice my contouring techniques. It's perfect for depositing a little powder and blending perfectly, w/o being so fluffy that the shimmer gets all over my face. I've seen it on a few other tutorials as well. For me this brush has to be one of the best brushes because it's excellent for brush application or anything that requires precision and contouring. It's soft but just dense enough to pick up the right amount of color. I've washed this several times and it hasn't shed a single hair or lost its shape at all.

I love this brush and would recommend this to anyone. It is a must have! It is perfect for contouring & highlighting.

Looking Good is Feeling Good

Wow, do you realize how fast the year is going? Pretty soon it will be summer and you want to look good and feel good too so you can enjoy all the activities outdoors. Weight loss can be important and taking care of your skin is equally important. You need to be really cautious about your skin as UV rays are increasing each year with all the global warming. I find that using natural ingredients in the products I select to put on my body can really make a big difference in how my skin reacts. I always want to use a Natural Sunscreen and natural moisturizers as well.

Recently I have been doing research and educating myself on naturally healthy products. I want to do my best to get my hubby and I really on the track to wellness. It is easier on your body to stay healthy then to try to fight a disease. One supplement that I am looking for is Poly MVA which is proving to be a good supplement to keep your cells healthy and boosting your immunities to sickness. I also want to use a new product called Intramax as it also increases the body’s ability to resist viruses and also gets rid of the toxins that attach themselves to cells in the body.

Tips to Have A Healthy Foot:

What You Need:

* A tub to soak your feet
* Pumice or foot file
* Foot Scrub (optional, but very beneficial)
* Moisturizer
* Nail Polish (optional)

How:

1. Soak your feet in warm water for at least 15 minutes. This is the time to just sit back and say "ah". You can use any bowl or dish that your feet will fit into; I use a white dish tub that I picked up at the dollar store. To help reduce swelling in your feet and ankles, add a quarter cup or so of epsom salts into your water or splurge on a great foot soak. Swirl around with your toes until it dissolves. Even though you might not be able to tell, your feet are thanking you.
2. Exfoliate your skin, concentrating on the calluses. This is the time you really want to concentrate on. There are many different options when it comes to exfoliating tools. Use a damp pumice stone or foot file to scrub down your entire foot. Everyone has areas that need to be filed down, so really take your time. Using a foot scrub makes blasting away dead skin ten times easier. Rub the foot scrub on your feet to get a basic exfoliation all over and then scrub over your calluses with the foot file. When you are done scrubbing, rinse and dry your feet.
3. Moisturize with an intense moisturizer. You can use your favorite moisturizer or get something specifically for your feet. I love using peppermint lotions on my feet, especially after soaking in warm water. The cooling sensation peppermint has lasts long after your soak. Make sure you moisturize not only your feet, but your ankles and legs too.
4. Paint your toenails. An option step, of course. Everyone can pull off bold colors on their toenails, even if they only wear clear (or nothing at all) on their fingernails. OPI always crack me up with their color names. If you can't decide, check out two of my favorites: Mauve-lous Memories and Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ.

Tips:

1. After your foot spa, make sure you clean and bleach your foot tub and foot file.
2. When painting your nails, you may want to use a base and top coat. A basecoat fills in any ridges your nails might have making it an even surface. A top coat seals in the polish, giving it extra protection.
3. Make a foot spa night once a week. Once you get in the habit of taking care of your feet, you won't forget. Store all of your products in your soaking tub. Once a week, before you sit down for your favorite show, grab your foot spa kit and fill up the tub.

Medical Lawsuits

It seems like every other day there is a new medical “miracle” that is released to the market and doctors are clamoring to apply them to patients. When the patient is in great need it is understandable to try something that is a little bit on the edge or medicine. It can even be little risky if the patients ailment falls into the realm of fatal or life altering in a tragic way. Why not try it if it might save you? However sometimes the “miracle” is not thoroughly tested or has been manufactured poorly. Such is the situation in the instance of the issues on Zimmer Durom cup for joint replacement. Many people had the surgery and the device was faulty and caused them even more pain.

This then ties up our courts and costs the public millions upon millions of dollars to support these cases as they flow through the never ending labyrinth of justice. You can go out and look for an attorney that is educated in all the liability surrounding the product. In the case of a Durom lawyer you would find someone who has prosecuted a case under that very venue. Then the next thing you know you are another Durom lawsuit and spending years possibly in litigation trying to get justice for the harm done to you.

This has really created an industry all of its own and has driven the cost of the insurance for doctors and liability through the roof. I wonder if it is good for society overall but then I think about myself being in the shoes of the person who was injured or who lives in pain because of one of these defective products. Then I am thinking, who am I to say?

I Finally Made it!

Today hubby took me to salon since I been wanting to trim my hair. I don't really want to cut my hair but I need to because my hair is now long again and really looks unhealthy at the tip and had spit ends. I'm glad I did it today.

Before and After

Can you see the difference?

Trimming your hair means to cut the dead hair which is at the bottom. It gives your hair a new look too. You should always get your hair trimmed. I know it sounds peculiar to cut your hair when you want it longer, but it does work. I'm not saying inches just a little snip off the ends will do.

Here's some step by step tips if you want to trim your own hair:
  1. First spray your hair with a little water to make them wet.
  2. Then hold about 10-13 section of hair by clipping the rest of the hair with a clip over your head.
  3. With your two fingers hold your hair from below that need to be trimmed and just snip that portion of the hair, which is below the finger.
  4. And then again take another section of hair that needs to be trimmed and cut them with the length, which you had snipped before.

Hair Trimming Tips:
  1. It is advisable to have a double-sided mirror when you are getting a hair cut. It helps you to see at the back of your hair.
  2. Always use a sharp scissor while trimming your hair. If the scissors are not sharp they might damage your hair giving space to split ends.
  3. Trim your hair even if you do not find slip ends. It is easy to detect splits ends on straight hair than textured hair.

7. It's a is a humectant.
8. It's a a great protectant for skin.

Jojoba oil can be used for anything from soothing chapped skin to healing dry, overstressed hair. My sister in-law been using this product for a years and she absolutely love this stuff. After I saw her using this product and she told me Jojoba oil is really great and it will be good for my skin and then I finally decided to give it a shot. I didn't really think it was that great until tried it.
I like the consistency of this oil and the brand is good my skin looks all glowy when I use it. It has revitalized my dry sensitive skin that really makes me so happy. It absorbs quickly after applying, and leaves my skin smooth and soft. Jojoba oil is the closest oil to your skin's natural oil. It helps your body draw moisture to the upper layers of your skin. It's chemical structure is almost wax-like.

You can find it at any health food store just make sure it is 100% Jojoba and not a mix of oils. Trader Joe's has a good quality.

Atkins Diet

Atkins Diet is a wonderful diet for those addicted to sugar and products with sugar. This is a great way to lose, and a great way to eat for life. My Friend started on this diet because it was recommended by her friend. Friend of mine has had a weight problem for years. And this diet really reversed of her way of eating. I haven't ever tried it but it looks good if you do it properly.
But you should always remember to add exercise on your daily routine because we all know that exercise is the best key.

I recommend this diet to anyone who has struggled with their weight in the past.

Clif Shot Bloks

What is Clif Shot Bloks ?? Shot Bloks are basically a spin-off on the traditional gels made famous by Iron men and marathoners around the world. It come in different of flavors, including black cherry, pina colada, orange, lemon-lime, margarita (with triple the sodium), strawberry, cola,and cran-razz. But my favorite are black cherry and pina colada flavors. My hubby love to eating Shot Bloks bec they taste really good.

Shot Bloks is good if you want to go for a long ride. Eating on the road is one of the toughest tricks to learn on long bike rides and the tricks to maintaining nutrition during a several hour ride is variety. The different flavors can help keep you eating when you really would rather just ride.

Clif Shot Bloks Organic Energy Chews are a recent addition to the athlete’s nutritional armamentarium. Shot Bloks are an important component of my cycling nutrition plan. The only bad thing about it is the Shot Bloks are nutritionally incomplete.

Shot Bloks are basically a spin-off on the traditional gels made famous by Iron men and marathoners around the world. They are a USDA certified organic product made of brown rice syrup, sugar cane juice with natural flavors and colors and a few other minor ingredients formed into a 1.5 cm cube of firm gelatin. Each package contains six cubes which constitutes 2 “servings”. Each serving contains 100 calories with no fat or protein and includes 70mg of sodium and 20mg of potassium. I paid $2.25 for one package at my local bike shop.

I would recommend Shot Bloks as a significant improvement over traditional mucus-like gels.
It can give you the boost you need
