We have all heard of AIDS, right? Collection of symptoms caused by reduced / loss of our immune system. AIDS caused by HIV, the virus that is attacking the human immune system. Without antiretroviral therapy, death usually occurs within a year. Most patients died of opportunistic infections or cancers associated with the destruction of the immune system.
The rate of clinical disease progression varies between individuals and has proven to be influenced by many factors such as a person to disease susceptibility and immune function health care and other infections, as well as factors related to the strain of the virus. Specific opportunistic infections suffered by AIDS patients was also dependent on the prevalence of these infections in the geographic area where the patient lives.
In the general population, especially in Indonesia, there is still much less responsive and alert to AIDS. Lack of basic knowledge and lack of socialization that lead to awareness of AIDS. As a result, many are still forced to do so and eventually lead to contracting the HIV virus is everywhere.
