What is the ratio in HIIT?

What is the ratio in HIIT?

I want maximum results. On wikipedia it says a ratio of 2:1 work to rest, and this is from a bunch of studies. YET EVERYWERE ELSE on forums and what not (which i have been looking at extensively) people say that it is the opposite. You work out hard for like a minute, then rest for 2 minutes. WTF. Which one is it??? Why can't I get a straight answer???? Why do these things have to be so damn hard to figure out??? I want maximum results and nothing less, so WHICH ONE IS IT??????.
